And what does it do to benefit the end lighting application?

Type HL Program:

LED Driver with“TYPE HL”mark approval on led driver label means the driver has undergo harsh environmental tests to ensure its performance under such condition. The Type TL program of LED Driver is defined in UL 8750 safety standard, intended to assist the end LED lighting manufacturers to save time and expense for installed in Class I Division 2 lamps for hazardous locations.

Any LED drivers marked with“TYPE HL”can be used directly for the end LED Luminaire installed in hazardous(classified) location areas without further evaluation.
